Mojo97

My sister from Colorado arrived safe in Vermont very late Monday night. We arrived at my home at 2:00 a.m. and didn't manage to settle down until most individuals were heading out to work. Of course with an army of children ... 'sleeping in' was impossible. Their first day in Vermont was gorgeous! The sun shone all day - the cousins met one another and enjoyed some outdoor fun in the backyard. Volleyball, swimming and ladder golf! The day ended with my nephew in the hospital for staples after he lost a fight with a four wheeler! By the time I managed to sit down and start a MOJO it was after 1:00 A.M.! Eyes crossed and all colors beginning to look alike ... here is the what I managed to put together! Thanks for visiting and keep watching for pictures of the sisters reunited!

Miscellaneous post ...

I wanted to take a minute and share with you what I do all day long ... for the past ten years I have operated a Registered Home Child Care in my town and remain the only one. I have been truly blessed with the respect and friendship of the families whose children I care for. With their permission, I am sharing with you a picture of me with the group of children currently enrolled (ages: 7mos, 2,4,4,6,and 7). If this doesn't keep me on my toes, I also have four of my own children at home ... ages 16, 12, 10 and 8. Whew, I'm getting tired just typing LOL. My first arrivals arouse me at 6:00 and the last goes out the door at 6:30 pm. I try to manage homework in on most nights as I pursue my Bachelor of Psychology ... so crafting is what I do to "get away". My vacation is officially started and my sister's arrival is only 3 days away! I hope to get some crafting time in and will have to share a pic of the two of us! Have a great weekend!

Uh Oh - MOJO

My daughter took one look at my MOJO 96 attempt this week and said, "Mom, please tell me you aren't going to post that!" After seeing this ... I hope one of my blogging buddies will recommend a good photo editing software program! I love the colors I used for this challenge, however; I can not get them to show up in their "true colors". Looking forward to your comments and suggestions!

Friends - what a blessing!

What fun ... a Luau Stampin Up party at my good friend Michelle's on Friday night. Laughter, friends, good food, prizes and games and of course some make and takes! This girl knows how to throw a party. I really enjoyed the mini pizza boxes. I haven't decided what I am going to do with mine ... fill it with cards, something yummy - perhaps a homemade cookie wrapped in decorative celophane ... the possibilities are endless. In preparing for her party I was happy to help my dear friend in preparations ... she showed me how to make these cute Lays (sp?) for the Luau. We used the big shot and felt with one of the new embosslits. My daughter has it hanging in her room so I can't get a pic tonight (she's already drifted off to dreamland).

I hope all my blogging friends are doing well. I look forward to a vacation next week and the arrival of my sister Marie - you all know her from her amazing blog www.isomcre8tions.blogspot.com.

Thanks for stopping by!
Love and blessings,
Samantha

Invisible ... but here!

I was preparing to load some pictures and share a few projects ... unfortunately I spent hours digging under stacks of paper, craft supplies, laundry etc. searching high and low for my camera. I couldn't find it. In talking to my husband on the phone during lunch break ... he quietly whispers "it's in my truck - sorry Hun". It's a good thing he wasn't in the same room LOL. I'll finish up tonight and post some pics for you gals!

Life is good ...

After months of conversations, anxiety and prayers I can take a deep breath and shout AMEN loud enough for the whole world to hear. My sister, Marie (www.isomcre8tions.blogspot.com) is coming to Vermont with her family! This is a very special event for all of us. Our children have not met and even more special her children have not met their grandmother. I feel that this is a true blessing. Tears just keep coming - tears of blessings, tears of happiness and tears of thanks to the Almighty Lord. When things have settled and the shakes cease, I will return with something crafty and new! Thank you for 'blog' friendship,
Samantha

Mistakes happen ...

I once again felt the urge to stray from my responsibilities and take a "five for me" which I refer to as mom needs a short craft break! I decided to sit down and whip up a quick card. I was excited about this card ... until I added the sentiment. Now I know why I have to have clear stamps ... my sentiment is barely on the card!

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.

MoJo 94 ... with a contest!

I wasn't able to complete my MOJO last week ... time just got away from me. I did set aside a half-hour tonight to be able to put together a quick card. I never feel confident once I see what others have come up with. I decided to post my MOJO before looking at what everyone else has come up with. I have never put this stamp set to use but I really liked the set once I started playing with it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Some fun stuff ...

I can't believe that I spent a day crafting and accomplished so little. Why is it it takes me forever to come up with color combo's, sets to use and all the specifics? Here's what I managed to put together .... the thank you box holds a post it pad and mini-gel pen. I also made a couple with Receese peanut butter cups! Yum!

I was inspired by Aaron Brown (Booth #32) to try these cute cd holders. Inside are drinking staws and flavor packets.

I can't figure out how to rotate this picture because when I view it on my computer it is the right way. These are cute little matchbook gummy holders. I'm hoping the kids at the celebration tomorrow will nag their mommies for one when they walk by my craft table LOL!

I love using the Top Note die for the Big Shot to whip up simple cards for all occasions!

Thanks for stopping by. Click on a picture to view it larger!

PS - does anyone know how or why my entire blog list (of blogs that I follow) has disappeared on my dashboard! Sob!
